A Christian Blog where we share and go deeper into the art of following Jesus. Let’s be real, following the Lord is not always easy, there are many struggles, obstacles and fears that we have to face daily, but the Joy of knowing the Lord makes following him worth it. This is a safe space to follow Him together through all those seasons of life, to be as genuine as possible and to call ourselves higher.
“Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me].” Matthew 16:24 (AMP)
Why The Art of Surrendering?
Following Jesus is mainly about surrender and denying ourselves constantly. Usually this is something we struggle with the most because we have done it our way for so long that is hard to let go. And so I believe laying our lives for Christ constantly is an art, it is like a craft that we have to keep working on; it’s messy, it’s mundane, it’s weak most of the times, but the Lord sees beauty in that craft. We might not necessarily enjoy the process of surrender but the Lord does because it is where we become more like Him.
